Was worried about that given the title and first paragraph, but after that - well said.
... except it's a TV show, idiot. Do you mean a licensed game?
Preview? The game's up already!
Ahh, you absolutely have to PLAY the Cradle, you can't watch it. It's one of the best examples of games as a proper interactive medium - you're involved, you know what the place is like, how vulnerable Garrett is, and you call the shots about what happens. It's still scary now - if you actually play it!
On the other hand maybe your cousin only gets scared by Saw and other s*** like that. :)
I know, it's really sad - and a really crappy new logo. If they're delivering stationery now, it might be okay, but otherwise - urgh.
The first two games are superb, mainly in terms of story, world and your ability to explore (most stealth games are painfully linear) but you're right - they have aged a lot by now.
You should try the third game, Thief: Deadly Shadows. That still looks pretty good and still retains a lot of the things that make the series my favourite gaming franchise. It's worth playing just for the Shalebridge Cradle level, one of the creepiest in gaming.
You certai...
So is this the way a news (and I use that term loosely) item is made popular on N4G? Just add "SONY E3 MEGATON" to the title? I highly doubt this post is getting so popular just because of Thief - no matter how much I love that game.
Thief 4's currently a logo, and that's it in terms of information. There is no reason it won't be on PS3, 360 and PC. I highly doubt it will be on PC only. Until some platforms are announced stop reading into things - unless...
Every time someone mentions the cliffhanger ending of Half Life 2: Episode 2, I cry. FOR F***'S SAKE VALVE HURRY UP.
Hell yeah. System Shock badly needs a proper decent sequel, or at least a revamped re-release.
And Deus Ex 3 isn't a 3rd person cover shooter, it only goes that way when you take cover. You don't have to do that at all. As long as you don't press the cover button, you can ignore that entire feature - and perspective.
The main thing I'm worried about is if Sony announce a PSP2 as rumored. I think it's much too soon for that, and it very probably won't be backwards compatible with PSP games (at least UMDs anyway). I've only really just got a PSP and I love it, so a full PSP2 is a big no-no for me.
However if they do an iPhone-like device, just more focused on better gaming, I'm cool with that.
Wow, you're such a Sony fanboy you actually quote their slogans as fact.
Will it play all my PS2 games? Run Linux? Play Super Mario Galaxy 2? Make me breakfast in the morning? Give me a blowjob? No? Then it doesn't do everything.
Yeah, isn't that... oh, what are they called, make TVs too... good stuff, expensive but good, what's their name... Sonia! I mean, Sony! Always forget them. They're always the underdog, no one ever remembers them.
(sarcasm overload) :P
How did this get approved? This news is incredibly old, right down to the source: a store.

Only actual ones based on the movies that came out at the same time as the films. That's pretty much just The Phantom Menace, Bounty Hunter and Revenge of the Sith sadly.
I said why not Aladdin or Lion King - They came out long after the movie. Aladdin for example was a full year afterwards.
And didn't you see Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade there?
1UP gets bonus points for calling it F.E.A.R. 3 and not F.3.A.R.
I'll keep an eye on this one because I love the series, but without Monolith behind it I'm wary.
Heh, that might be the one you're expecting, but you ain't gonna get it!
Phew, I thought with that pic he was going to suggest that Modern Warfare 2 was a franchise saviour instead of a destroyer!
Good list, if a bit short. I'm sure he could've thought of more.
Interesting article, and anyone who rags on Modern Warfare 2's stupidity campaign is okay with me! :)
Does anyone care? The PC's my favourite platform and I'd never get this. Or on consoles too, as a matter of fact.
